What builders say after RareWeek

RareSkills is one of the best technical educators in the industry. You don't just learn a specific skill set here, you learn how to learn. If you want to rapidly level up, I highly recommend it. Going into the bootcamp, my expectation was that we would focus mostly on concepts adjacent to the ecosystem rather than a deep, core dive into ZK itself. I was wrong. The curriculum was incredibly deep, thorough, and wide-ranging. It didn't just feel like a syllabus; we went into the absolute weeds of the math and execution, giving us a comprehensive understanding of the space. What I liked most about the program was the precise organization. The sequence of events is incredibly well-structured and helpful for absorbing complex material: You go to class for intense, focused learning. You actively socialize and engage in unstructured recall. You dive into the homework sets, collaborating when stuck. You take a break for physical activities, rest, and then repeat the cycle the next day. Even though I had real-world work coming in at night, the daytime schedule is beautifully balanced. It gives you the space to study, digest the material, and actually enjoy the experience. The ice baths were a great experience, but the incorporation of unstructured recall was a game-changer. I always knew conceptually that recall was a useful study tool, but I had never actively applied it to my learning workflow. Once you actually apply it, constantly reflecting on what you just studied - it completely changes your retention. It's not just rote memorization; it forces you to deeply understand how everything connects and works under the hood. If RareSkills hosts these twice a year, I would absolutely join another one. They have built an exceptional framework for accelerating technical talent.

Before coming in, I wondered if the price was a bit steep. Having finished it, I'm incredibly glad I paid it. The value RareSkills delivered was undeniable. I had no expectations coming into the bootcamp because I hadn't really heard of RareSkills before. I just saw a tweet from Jeffrey about a ZK bootcamp in Bali, reached out, and decided to go for it. Going into it, I thought the price point might be a bit high. But now that I've completed the experience, I am very glad I made the investment and would absolutely pay it again for future bootcamps. Could I have learned this on my own? Probably, but it would have taken a lot longer, I wouldn't have had the structure, and I wouldn't have had a world-class expert to answer my questions. I expected Jeffrey to be a domain expert in ZK, but I didn't expect him to be a domain expert in teaching and pedagogy itself. The curriculum and the use of 'unstructured recall' completely blew me away. We weren't just taught complex ZK concepts; we were taught how to remember and use them. That alone doubled the value of the bootcamp for me. The learning frameworks I picked up here are things I will apply to everything else I study over the next year. It was a massive, incredibly surprising bonus. The environment and community aspect were fantastic. From the high-quality homework sets which featured great extension questions for those who wanted to push themselves further to the daily social activities like Muay Thai, the CrossFit, and the ice baths. Everything felt balanced. The bootcamp does an amazing job of taking care of you, providing an incredible venue, and fostering a space where you actually get to know people. For future cohorts, I'd love to see even more formalized small breakout groups for tough homework problems, and structured office hours for career-focused one-on-ones. As a developer coming into the ZK space with zero prior knowledge, this bootcamp gave me the exact foundation, open-source trajectory, and career clarity I was looking for. If RareSkills runs a follow-on or an advanced level of this, it would maximize retention for sure. I know I'd be the first to sign up.

I came in expecting a basic review of a ZK book. Instead, I left with the confidence to actually build and audit zero-knowledge mechanisms myself. To be honest, before arriving, I didn't know how this bootcamp was going to be any better or different than just reading through a ZK textbook on my own. I thought we would just clarify a few concepts here and there. It ended up being completely different in the best way possible. We learned everything we needed to actually write a proof group ourselves using Circom, and deeply understood why we were learning it. I came out of this with way more than I anticipated. I didn't expect to leave with so much genuine confidence in my ability to professionally build or audit ZK mechanisms. RareSkills teaching style is incredible. I had used 'unstructured recall' on my own personal learning journeys before, but this was the first time I've ever had a teacher actively make me do it as part of a curriculum. It helps a lot. Seeing the contrast between a standard presentation and Jeffrey's style really makes you realize what a mastery of pedagogy looks like. It's entirely different from how people normally present technical data; he is truly phenomenal at teaching. The daily layout was spot on. Doing intense classes in the morning and having the afternoon to socialize, reset, and nerd out individually was the perfect balance. The morning sessions are pretty full-on, so giving our brains time to rest meant that by the next day, things were really clicking. The venue was super cool, and having breakfast and lunch provided took all the thinking out of the day you just show up, eat, and focus on learning. The coffee was absolutely sick, too! The team did a fantastic job of inviting the right people. Everyone here is super cool, nice, and incredibly smart. It felt highly curated. If you want to transition to engaging with ZK professionally or pursuing advanced study, this experience gets you so much closer to that goal. I don't have a single complaint about how the event was run. RareSkills did an amazing job.

I've been to other major ecosystem builder events, but RareSkills is the pinnacle. This is the superior one the builder quality here is unmatched. My main goals coming into the bootcamp were to solidify my foundational knowledge of ZK and to connect with high-caliber developers and top-tier builders in the ecosystem. My expectations were met to an incredibly high standard. I walked away with all the core knowledge required to master the foundations of ZK, and I spent the week collaborating with incredibly sharp developers and security researchers. The structure of the program was fantastic and completely straightforward. The daily schedule isn't overwhelmingly hectic, which gives you the proper space to rest, digest the material, and think clearly. I chose to do almost all of my homework directly at the venue rather than back at my accommodation. The environment just pulls you in and having Jeffrey right there in the room means you can instantly ping him, walk over with your laptop, and get real-time feedback on tough problems. That level of direct access is invaluable. The venue, the personalized merch with our names and the overall experience were amazing. I even tried an ice bath for the very first time in my life and managed to push through for 10 minutes! Beyond the physical challenges, the mental conditioning and the curriculum structure really forced the concepts to click. As someone looking to transition completely into the ZK space either as a security researcher or an applied cryptographer having the right direction is everything. Jeffrey is incredibly supportive and directly offered to advise me one-on-one on exactly what paths and resources to follow next to solidify my skills. If RareSkills hosts a 'Next Chapter' or an advanced follow-up bootcamp in the next few months, I would absolutely be there. If you are serious about upskilling and want to be surrounded by the absolute best in the industry, RareSkills is where you need to be.

I wanted to walk away with enough ZK knowledge to feel confident auditing real-world projects. RareSkills delivered exactly that. I'm leaving way more confident than when I started. Going into the bootcamp, I didn't know exactly what to expect beyond standard classroom sessions. My main goal was simple: I wanted to learn enough core Zero-Knowledge theory and practical application to feel confident auditing ZK projects. That is exactly what I got. RareSkills gives you the exact foundation you need to bridge your existing experience with ZK, allowing you to connect the dots and confidently fill in any remaining blanks. The RareSkills ZK book is already a phenomenal resource, but going through this intensive course gives you a much deeper appreciation for the material. Because I was balancing a few hours of external work on the side during the week, I didn't want to take homework back to my hotel room. The structure of the bootcamp accounted for this perfectly. We completed the exercises right at the venue. As soon as we learned a complex concept, we applied it immediately through unstructured recall and hands-on coding. It's an incredibly efficient way to reinforce the material in real-time, meaning you get everything you need out of the day without falling behind. The entire format and vibe of the bootcamp is relaxed, chill, and deeply collaborative. In my day-to-day life, I don't usually get to hang out with other web3 security researchers. Coming here and learning alongside a curated group of people who are equally passionate about ZK and security was a massive highlight. I didn't necessarily expect to get that level of networking and community out of it when I was just focused on the syllabus, but it turned out to be one of the things I appreciated most. The venue was great, the layout was fun, and having a world-class guide to walk you through the nuances of ZK makes all the difference. I would absolutely join another RareSkills bootcamp on a different technical topic. If you want to rapidly scale your auditing confidence, this is the way to do it.
